Multidisciplinary Research Institute

Background

Multidisciplinary Research Institute (MDRI) Chiang Mai University was established on February 25, 2023, from the combining of Science and Technology Research Institute (STRI) and Social Research Institute (SRI). This was officially announced by the Royal Thai government gazette on the 25th of February 2023 B.E. MDRI is the only institute in CMU which contributes research based on science & technology research and social research and aims to deliver high potential, high social impact research to the community. MDRI has focused on 4 research platforms with 33 researchers as follow:

• Novel Food, Health & Beauty
• Novel Tourism and Creative Economy
• Social Engagement

1. Promote and support research & academic services for beneficiary utilization along with providing high level publication on a national and international level.
